A Senate Subcommittee increases funding for AOA by $ 143 million. The Caregiver Initiative is fully funded and the bill contains a $38.2 million boost ...For More Click Title ..in OAA senior nutrition programs, which is a 4.6 percent increase over FY 2010. This means that the National Family Caregiver Support Program (OAA Title III E) and the Title VI Caregiver program would see 31 percent increases, Title III B a 13 percent increase, and Title VI Part A more than 7 percent increase.
The full Senate committee and then the Senate must vote on these monies. The House will report out its recommendations. Final votes are unlikely until later in the Fall.
The National Areas Agencies on Aging Association(N4A) follows these funding requests for AOA and have set these monies as priorities.
