Health and Human Services of the Obama administration has announced that it will cancel the CLASS act which was part of the Health Care Law.This ...FOR MORE CLICK TITLE... part of the law would have provided long-term care insurance (for anyone who elected to participate). This insurance would have included coverage for at-home care, assisted living, and nursing home care. Beneficiaries would have decided how to use their insurance. There would have been a monthly premium. Senator Kennedy had advocated for this law for many years and was able to include it in the health care law. Had it been implemented this would have been the first time when individuals of any age, financial state and, any impairment could sign-up for long term coverage with the Federal government. It is unclear if and how the administration will move forward with this concept.
