The House Ways & Means Committee included increase funding in its budget to $ 500,000. This is an increase from the current year which is $ 200,000. The language is the same and requires an interagency agreement with DMH and EOEA.
Currently, monies are funding a number of trainings. A small amount was used to complete the funding(from EOEA) of three COAs which are providing wrap around services for elders in their communities. We are hopeful of funding more COAs with these funds in F'Y 2018.
The House and then the Senate will have to approve this funding and then it goes to the desk of the Governor.

The House has now approved these funds in its 2018 F'Y budget.
