The Extended Care Options Program(ECOP) has had a waiting list which has grown to about 1,000 people. Those on this list receive basic home ...FOR MORE CLICK TITLE...  care services but not the extended services organized for those who qualify for nursing home care. Without ECOP some of these people may be at risk of an unnecessary nursing home placement.Those on ECOP who are its wait list do have regular home care services. As of March 1, there will be a wait list for those who need basic home care. It has been estimated that this list may reach 700 by the end of this fiscal year. Criteria will be the same as last year when this list was developed.
