Senate Budget for 2013

The Senate completed its budget proposal for 2013. Here is a summarry of items which will impact elders
  • Elder nutrition is the same as in the ...FOR MORE CLICK TITLE...House.and no one should be without meals(as proposed in the Governor's budget).
  • Protective Services is the same as in the House and while not enough is better than had been expected.
  • ECOP and basic home care are underfunded.
  • The PNA is the same in the House as in the Senate and as the last few years.
  • The bed hold is in he Senate(tho reimbursement for facilities is low) but not in the House.
  •  Rest homes may receive additional monies
  • .Councils on Aging hve more monies in the Senate than in the House
  • .Suicide prevention is less in the Senate than in the House
.Differences wiill have to be worked out in a Conference Committee.
